Expertise

Forward deployed engineering

Some problems cannot be solved from the outside. They need someone who understands your systems, sits with the people who use them and builds the solution where it will run.

In short

Forward deployed engineering (FDE) places an experienced engineer inside your team to build and ship on your actual systems, data and constraints — rather than handing over a slide deck or a generic product. Brands Boost Hub provides forward deployed engineers who work alongside your people and deliver working software.

Scope

How an engagement works

Embedded in your workflow

Your engineer joins your standups, tools and channels, and learns the process by working inside it.

Built on your stack

We work with your existing systems, data and security rules instead of forcing a new platform.

Integration and automation

Connecting legacy systems, databases and third-party platforms so information flows without manual effort.

AI where it fits

Practical AI features and automations added to real workflows, with human review.

Weekly shipped value

Small releases every week, so you see progress and can steer as priorities change.

Knowledge transfer

Documentation and pairing so your team can run and extend everything after we step back.

Process

How it works

  1. 01

    Scope

We agree the problem, the systems involved and what success looks like.

  2. 02

    Embed

An engineer joins your team and works directly with the people who own the process.

  3. 03

    Ship weekly

Working increments released continuously, reviewed with your team.

  4. 04

    Hand over

Documentation, training and a clean exit, or a smaller ongoing support arrangement.

Who it’s for

Is this right for you?

  • Companies adopting AI that need it wired into real systems and data
  • Organisations with legacy systems or complex internal processes
  • Teams that need extra senior engineering capacity without a long hiring cycle
  • Leaders who want working software, not another strategy document

FAQ

Forward Deployed Engineering: your questions answered

What is forward deployed engineering?

Forward deployed engineering is a model where an engineer works inside a client’s team, on the client’s systems, to build and ship custom software. The term comes from the Palantir-style approach of embedding engineers with customers.

How is it different from hiring a consultancy or an agency?

Consultancies typically deliver advice and documents; agencies deliver a defined project from the outside. A forward deployed engineer works inside your environment and ships working software on your stack, week by week.

How do you work with our team day to day?

The engineer uses your communication tools and ticketing, joins standups and reviews, and works directly with the people who own the process — remotely, on site where practical, or a mix.

Can this include AI projects?

Yes. Many engagements involve connecting AI to internal systems and documents — with evaluation and human review — alongside the integration work that makes it useful.

What happens when the engagement ends?

We document everything, train your team and hand over the code. If you want it, we move to a lighter support arrangement.
